SKB is built to collect as little about you as possible. This page says exactly what that means today.

Newsletter and community
Newsletter signup stores your email, language, consent and signup date in the SKB n8n data table. It is a separate choice from community membership. No newsletter emails are sent automatically by this signup feature. Your unsubscribe link removes your email from the active list. The popup stores a dismissal date in your browser for 30 days, or one year after signup, to avoid repeated prompts.
Community membership stores your authenticated account ID, email, display name, optional city and bio, selected Worlds and visibility preference. Your profile is private by default. If you choose public visibility, your name, city, bio and Worlds appear to other visitors. Your email and account ID are never included in the public directory. You can edit your profile, remove public visibility or leave the community from the Community page. Leaving removes your member profile but does not delete your Supabase login account or newsletter preference. Authorised SKB administrators manage membership and newsletter records. Workflow execution logs may also contain submitted records until the n8n retention period expires.
Language preference
SKB reads your browser language to select English, Dutch, German or French on your first visit. Your selected language is remembered in the SKB_LOCALE cookie for up to one year. This functional preference is not used for advertising. Navigation and visitor sign-in are translated. Some editorial texts and source documents retain their original language while translations are prepared.
What SKB collects
You can read SKB without an account. If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic profile and email with Supabase to create your SKB visitor account. We use these details to authenticate you. Signing in does not give you editorial access or consent to advertising.
Session storage and marketing
When you sign in, SKB stores your visitor session in this browser's local storage so you stay signed in when you return. Supabase refreshes the session while it remains valid. Signing out removes the session from this browser. Editorial access uses a separate short-lived, HttpOnly session cookie and is restricted to authorised colleagues.
No advertising pixels or retargeting tools are currently installed. We do not send your login details, reading history, World choices or Concierge questions to advertising platforms. Any future marketing tracking will require a separate, informed choice before activation, with a way to refuse and withdraw consent. Google sign-in itself is not marketing consent.
Local examples
World pages request local examples using a country estimate supplied by Vercel from your internet connection. SKB does not request GPS coordinates, store your IP address for this feature, or infer your nationality or language. Unsupported or unknown locations receive the general version.
You may choose another available country or the general version. Only that explicit preference is stored in session storage for the current browser tab. Choosing Automatic removes the preference. Local responses are not stored in shared caches. Vercel's hosting records are described below.
The Context Concierge
When you send a question to the assistant, it travels to our server over an encrypted connection, is checked for signs of a crisis so the right help can be shown, and is matched to relevant Worlds by keyword. The answer comes straight back.
Your question is not stored, not written to our logs, not used for advertising and not sent to any AI provider. The Concierge is currently an early prototype. If a future version works differently, this page will say so before it takes effect.
Hosting
The site is served through Vercel, and its server code runs in Frankfurt. Like any host, Vercel keeps technical request records such as IP address, time, page requested and browser type, under its own privacy terms.
World and taxonomy content is read from a database hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt. Visitors cannot edit editorial content. Supabase also processes account data and authentication sessions when you choose to sign in.
Your rights
You may contact SKB to request access to, correction of or deletion of your account data. See the Contact page. You can sign out from Your SKB at any time; signing out does not delete the account held by Supabase. If you contact us, we use your details to handle your request.
